Bearing Fruit Tropicals Does Not Accept Returns.
We have a strict "No Refunds" policy due to the perishable nature of our fruit, honey, jams, and live plants. By placing an order with Bearing Fruit Tropicals, you agree to the following:
No Refunds are Guaranteed
All sales are final. Bearing Fruit Tropicals does not offer refunds on any products, including fruit, jams, honey, or live plants, unless required by law. Once the package has been shipped, the sale is considered complete.
Why No Refunds?
Perishability of Fruit: Our fruit is picked at peak ripeness and carefully packaged to ensure quality during transit. However, we cannot control how the fruit is handled once it leaves our facilities. Any damage during shipping, such as bruising or ripening variations, is not eligible for refunds.
Honey and Jams: Once honey or jam jars are opened or exposed to outside conditions, the risk of contamination makes returns or refunds impossible.
Live Plants: Plants require proper care upon arrival, and we are not responsible for plants that die due to customer neglect or improper care after delivery. We also cannot be held liable for mishandling by the shipping carrier once the plants are in transit.
Shipping Damage and Delays
If your package was damaged during shipping or delayed, we will assess the situation on an individual basis. We do NOT guarantee that we will be able to reimburse or refund you, but we will do our best to address any issues.
For claims related to shipping damage, contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package at Mic@bearingfruittropicals.com. You must include photos of the box and its contents for us to evaluate any potential damage.
We are not responsible for damage to fruit or plants caused during shipping, although we take great care in packaging and selecting the best-quality items. Once the package leaves our facility, the condition of the products is largely outside our control.
Shipping CostsThe cost of shipping is non-refundable. Refunds, when applicable, will exclude the shipping and handling costs, which are typically built into our pricing. This applies to all orders, including special or expedited shipping.
Refunds for Damaged or Defective Products
While refunds are not guaranteed, we will work with you if you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, inedible, or defective. Based on our evaluation, we may offer a solution such as:
A partial refund (excluding shipping costs)
A store credit towards future orders
A replacement (depending on availability)
Refunds and replacements are given at our discretion and are not guaranteed.
To make a claim, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at Mic@bearingfruittropicals.com. Be sure to include your order number and clear photos of the damaged items. A staff member will review your claim and determine if a refund or replacement is appropriate.
Cancellations & Restocking Fees
All orders are subject to a 5% restocking fee if canceled after the order has been confirmed. This covers transaction fees and preparation costs. If an order has already been prepared for shipping or pick-up, a 10% restocking fee will apply.
If you have requested a grafted plant, cancellations or changes after the grafting process has begun will incur a 10% restocking fee.
Substitutions
We strive to fulfill orders as specified, but due to seasonal availability, we reserve the right to make substitutions with fruit, plants, or products of equal or greater value and similar characteristics. For instance, if a specific mango variety is unavailable, we may substitute it with another variety of comparable taste and quality. We will attempt to notify you of significant substitutions before shipping.
Shipping Policies for Fruit, Jams, and Plants
We take care to ship items at optimal times to ensure they arrive in good condition. However, we cannot be responsible for shipping delays caused by carriers (USPS, UPS, etc.). Packages are shipped Monday through Wednesday to prevent weekend delays. Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST on Tuesday may ship the following week.
Responsibility After DeliveryOnce your package is marked as delivered, Bearing Fruit Tropicals is no longer responsible for the package. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a safe, secure location for delivery. We are not liable for lost, stolen, or misdelivered packages.
Returns for Trees
All tree sales are final. We do not accept returns on live plants due to the risk of contamination or improper care. Customers are responsible for ensuring the correct conditions for tree care (e.g., appropriate sunlight, watering, and temperature).
